Firefox with Greasemonkey: If you’ve ever tried to copy a URL directly from the Google search results screen, you’ll find that the resulting links aren’t what they appear to be—but you can fix that problem. Google adds ten-mile-long tracking codes to figure out which links are being clicked more often—but privacy-conscious readers and anybody who wants to copy the actual links from a search result screen can simply install the Google Click Tracking Disabler script to turn them off—very useful for pasting into a conversation or into your favorite blogging tool . Google Click Tracking Disabler is a free download, requires Firefox with the Greasemonkey extension.
