Firefox: If you find using search engines to ferret out documents on the web isn’t cutting it, OutWit Docs is a dedicated document search tool with a host of options. Unlike searching for documents in a general search engine, when you search wtih OutWit Docs you’re able to dig deeper and manipulate the data more thoroughly. The data still comes from the same sources like Google but you can specify keywords, document type (including office, open office, csv, Flash, and PDF), and filter by a wide range of criteria including age, size, site URL, and keywords within the search results. You can conduct multiple searches, OutWit Docs saves the results and the tweaking you’ve done for each search so you can easily compare search results. You can download documents immediately or drag and drop them to the holding bin, as seen in the lower left corner of the screenshot above, for bulk downloading at a later time. OutWit Docs requires Firefox 3.0+ and works wherever Firefox does
