We covered how to preserve newsprint after the last Big Presidential Day, but for those with bumper stickers, posters, buttons, or other memorabilia they want to store away, here’s a few tips.

The Institute of Museum and Library Sciences’ advice won’t be news to anyone who’s been collecting for some time, but here’s a great thumbnail thought:

If you feel comfortable, your treasures will be comfortable.
When you feel hot or cold, damp or dry, so do your treasures. You wouldn’t feel comfortable living in the basement or attic and neither are they. You feel better when there is good circulation; so do they.
